ANNUAL MANDATORY TRAINING
These trainings are mandatory upon hire, and employees will have 90 days from their hire date to complete.

The Louisiana Code of Governmental Ethics. As per Louisiana Revised Statute 42:1170, all public employees are required to complete one hour of training on the Code of Governmental Ethics each calendar year. This online training course is located on the Ethics Board website. Upon completion, you will be provided with a certificate that documents the completion of the course. According to the statute, failure to comply with the requirements of training constitutes a violation of the Ethics Code.

Cybersecurity Awareness Training. SCS (State Civil Service) Talent Development has created a cybersecurity course that meets the requirements of Act 155 of the 2020 Louisiana Legislature. The course is available on LEO for all employees with access.

Preventing Sexual Harassment. This course meets the 1-hour training requirement as outlined ACT 270 of the 2018 regular session and is designed to raise awareness regarding the prevention of sexual harassment. The course contains interviews with individuals who are considered field experts on the topic and prevention of sexual harassment. This course offers general knowledge of what could be considered sexual harassment along with practical steps that can be taken to prevent sexual harassment from happening in the workplace.

Preventing Sexual Harassment for Supervisors. This course is designed to raise the awareness of supervisors regarding the prevention of sexual harassment. The course includes a self-assessment to help supervisors identify potential areas for improvement. The course also presents practical strategies supervisors can use to prevent sexual harassment in our workplace. This course meets the requirements for supervisors to receive training on preventing sexual harassment as required by ACT 270 of the 2018 regular session.

ADA Compliance. This course includes 3 separate tracks: one for the agency ADA coordinator, one for supervisors and one for employees. This course satisfies the training requirements mandated by the Office of the State Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Coordinator pursuant to La. R.S. 46:2595. The course can be found in LEO by using the search term 'ADA.’
Reporting Power-Based Violence; What Employees Need to Know. This course, created by the Louisiana Board of Regents, provides information regarding Power-Based Violence. Power-based violence is defined as any form of interpersonal violence intended to control or intimidate another person through the assertion of power over the person. It includes but is more expansive than sexual misconduct and Title IX misconduct.
