Clery Act |Information on Campus Sex Offenders
Notification of Sex Offenders
Pursuant to Louisiana Revised Statutes (R.S.) 15:540, et. seq. ,a person convicted of sexual offenses as described in that code is required to register within 72 hours with the local law enforcement of the parish they reside in after their release or move to a new location. This law also requires if the sex offender is a student or an employee or carries on a vocation, with or without compensation at an institution of postsecondary education in this state, the sex offender shall also register with the campus law enforcement agency of the institution at least one business day prior to the beginning of the school term or semester.
Pursuant to Louisiana Revised Statute 17:1805 the Southern University at New Orleans Police Department, as the local law enforcement agency, is notifying the campus community.
Registered Campus Sex Offenders
The following individuals are registered sex offenders who are either employed or students at The Southern University at New Orleans.
ANY USE OF THIS INFORMATION TO THREATEN, INTIMIDATE, HARASS, OR CREATE A CRIMINAL ACT AGAINST ANOTHER PERSON WILL RESULT IN CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.
