How Do I Register to Become an Approved Visitor?

  1. Visit the official registration link here, and select SUNO Housing.
  2. Follow the prompts on the screen. ALL required fields must be completed to be considered for visitation. Failure to do so will result in an approval delay. It is the responsibility of the requestor to ensure they have completed the request form in its entirety. SUNOPD will not contact you to advise of missing information. Please review your request before submitting.
  3. Once the registration is complete, please allow 24 - 72 hours (excluding weekends & holidays) before visiting SUNO Housing.

How Do I Know if My Request to Visit Has Been Approved?

If your request to visit has been approved, your name will automatically be added to the list of approved visitors. SUNOPD will not contact you to verify approval. SUNOPD, however, will only contact you if your request has been denied.

A list of approved visitors can be found here.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I was an approved visitor last semester, do I need to re-register?

A: Yes. Approved visitors do not “roll over.” Many circumstances can affect the list’s legitimacy (i.e., withdrawals, bans, resident requests, etc.); therefore, potential visitors must be re-registered every semester.

Q: I submitted a request, but I haven't heard anything. What should I do?

A: SUNOPD will not contact you to verify approval. Please check the list of approved visitors; this list can be found here.

Q: I submitted a request more than 72 hours ago and I have checked the approved visitors and my name is not present. I have not received a call from SUNO Police stating my request was denied. What should I do?

A: Please contact SUNOPD by clicking here. This is the official means to contact us regarding visitation.

Q: I have a visitor who I no longer wish to visit me. What should I do?

A: Tell the person you no longer wish for them to visit you. Additionally, please submit a request to remove this person from your visitation list. Please note if this person is registered to visit with other residents they can still access SUNO Housing. If this request is due to safety concerns, please contact SUNOPD immediately at 504-286-3355.
