Dr. Michael H. Meehan
Director
The overall purpose and goal of the Satellite Telecommunications Network Interface/Distant Learning (STNIDL) is to receive, produce, disseminate and enhance the telecommunications /audio/visual capacity of Southern University at New Orleans in support of the University’s academic, cultural and professional programs. STNIDL was created to “strengthen SUNO as an HBCU” by utilizing Educational Telecommunications technology media and media venues to enhance teaching, learning, and all aspects of SUNO’s historic mission. This Title III funded Activity produces work that is achieved in part by the development of an ongoing Archive of video, digital photography, and other educational media products and productions.
STNIDL provides media support services to all of SUNO’s colleges, schools, and institutional programs, including SUNO faculty, staff, students, alumni, consortium members, and the community in general.
Additionally, this Title III funded Activity more specifically provides audio, visual, technology and photography services for all University events, both on and off-campus. The Satellite Telecommunications Network/Interface/Distance Learning Activity is implementing strategies for providing students across the globe with easier access to distance and on-line education opportunists.
