The purpose of this Title III Activity is to serve as the centralized unit for providing pre-award support services for grants, sponsored research and contracts. This Title III Activity strengthens university research in order to support the university’s research mission of ‘achieving excellence in higher education to increase the number of faculty involved in research and enhance faculty research efforts.  This Title III Activity strengthens the institutional research capabilities and in doing so, contributes to the financial needs of the institution in fostering, supporting and expanding University research and related strategic initiatives involving University administration and faculty members.

Services provided by this Title III Activity include providing information regarding grant opportunities; assisting in obtaining information and forms related to grant proposal preparation and submission; assisting in the development of budgets for grant and contract proposals; assisting with the internal proposal routing and approval process; and providing the Principal Investigator/Project Director with the applicable regulations, policies and procedures pertaining to the administration of sponsored projects.
