Southern University at New Orleans Museum of Art (SUNOMA) is committed to helping our campus community grow as museum professionals, scholars, culture bearers, and memory workers.

To support that mission, SUNOMA maintains institutional memberships with leading organizations in the museum and heritage fields. These memberships are available for all SUNO students, faculty, and staff to utilize.

• AASLH – American Association for State and Local History
• AAMG – Association of Academic Museums & Galleries
• ACASA – Arts Council of the African Studies Association
• AAAM - Association for African American Museums
• ICOM - International Council on Museums (pending)
• LAM - Louisiana Association for Museums (pending)
• ASALH - Association for the Study of African American Life and History

   Let us know if you are:

   • Seeking publications, teaching materials, or professional standards
   • Exploring internships, jobs, or networking in the field
