University Committees
Many aspects of the University’s operations are conducted by or with the advice of councils, committees, and other organizations.
Faculty-Staff Grievance Committee
It is the responsibility of the Faculty-Staff Grievance Committee to deliberate on decisions in which an unclassified employee considers to be unfair or discriminatory because of the application of some non-meritorious factor, charges of incompetence or unsatisfactory performance of duties or other similar allegations. To that end, this committee is responsible for securing prompt and equitable solutions to such grievances of faculty, including adjunct faculty members and other unclassified employees.

Sabbatical Leave Evaluation Committee (SLEC)
It is the responsibility of the Sabbatical Leave Evaluation Committee to deliberate on and make recommendations to the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and the Chancellor on applications made by the faculty for sabbatical leave.

Retention, Tenure and Promotion Appeals Committee (RTP)
It is the responsibility of the RTP Appeals Committee to deliberate on appeals from faculty members with respect to adverse decisions made regarding retention, tenure and promotion.
