Advanced Standing Admission
Admissions Requirements: Advanced Standing
- BSW degree from an institution accredited by the Council on Social Work Education
- GPA: 3.0 or better
- A grade of “B” or better in all social work courses
Advanced Standing Enrollment
- Coursework begins during the summer semester
- Curriculum requires 3 semesters of coursework for graduation (summer, fall, spring)
- Must complete 36 hours of coursework and 450 hours of field education
- Must maintain a 3.0 GPA or better throughout the program
Full-time & Part-time Admission
Admissions Requirements: Full-time & Part-time
- Bachelors degree in any discipline from an accredited college or university
- GPA: 2.5 or better
- Prerequisite (9 hours of liberal arts coursework with a grade of “C” or better)
Full-Time Enrollment
- Coursework begins in the fall semester
- Program takes 2 years to complete (fall & spring semesters only)
- Must complete 60 hours of coursework and 900 hours of field education
- Must maintain a 2.5 GPA or better throughout the program
Part-Time Enrollment
- Coursework begins in the fall semester
- Program takes 3 years to complete (fall, spring, and summer semesters is required)
- Must complete/pass 60 hours of coursework and 900 hours of field education
- Must maintain a 2.5 GPA or better throughout the program
ALL MSW students must complete a research project and pass a comprehensive exam for graduation
