MSW Field Education
Two-Year MSW Field Placements (Full-time)
You will complete a two-year-long field education practicum which begins your first semester in the program. In your foundation year, your field experience will build upon your generalist social work values, knowledge, and skills as you discover which aspect of the profession interests you most. In your concentration year, your internship will focus on competencies required for advanced social work practice within your academic concentration (CYF - Children Youth & Families or H/MH – Health/Mental Health).

You will complete a two-year-long field education practicum which begins in the fall semester of your second year in the program. In your foundation year, your field experience will build upon your generalist social work values, knowledge, and skills as you discover which aspect of the profession interests you most. In your concentration year, your internship will focus on competencies required for advanced social work practice within your academic concentration (CYF - Children Youth & Families or H/MH – Health/Mental Health).

Advanced-Standing Placements (Two semesters)
You will complete field education during the fall and spring semesters of your concentration year focused on competencies required for advanced social work practice within your MSW concentration.
