The Crescent City is calling—and SUNO is answering. This year’s Homecoming theme, “Knights on the Bayou: A Legacy Reawakened,” celebrates the spirit, grit, and glory that make Southern University at New Orleans the heart of New Orleans’ public HBCU tradition. From brass bands to bayou nights, from alumni pride to student shine—Where Champions Rise isn’t just a motto; it’s our way of life.

Homecoming Parade

The Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO) 2025 Homecoming Parade Committee would like to invite you to be a participant in our parade as we honor 66th Miss SUNO Amani J. Jenkins, her royal court, and the homecoming of our alumni on Saturday, October 25, 2025.

 

  • The parade begins lining up at 7:30 a.m. on SUNO North Campus behind Millie M. Charles School of Social Work Building in the parking lot area.

 

  • The parade leaves promptly at 9:00 a.m. and will finish at SUNO Gymnasium, “The Castle”, 6400 SUNO Knights Drive NOLA.
