Upward Bound Classic
Upward Bound is an academic preparatory program for high school students. The goals and objectives center on providing high school students with the skills necessary to successfully complete high school and successfully enroll in and graduate from a post-secondary educational program.
Funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education, Upward Bound was created as a result of the Higher Education Act of 1964. The primary objective of the act was to provide equal access to education.
SUNO Upward Bound Program has assisted students from across the Metropolitan area of New Orleans since 1972. The main office is located in the Lake Campus Multi-Purpose Complex.
