International Student Services (ISS) offers a wide variety of services and programs to international students on Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) F1 student visa and their F2 dependents at SUNO. The ISS staff (Principal Designated School Official(PDSO) provides information and programs about the campus and community, F1 immigration-related opinion, cross-cultural adjustment assistance, advocacy and general support such as (maintaining status, travel, and employment eligibility, personal safety, social, and other related issues). Emergency support after business hours (such as being detained at an airport) is available. All new international students are required to report to the Student Development Center, UC, 2nd Floor, Suite 265, for passport check-in, as well as for immigration and adjustment sessions prior to registering for classes. Students’ are urged to read the immigration responsibilities stated on page 3 of 3 (Instructions to Students) of the SEVIS I-20.
