Education & Human Development
The unique mission in the College of Education & Human Development (CoE&HD) is the preparation of effective and reflective professional educators who think critically and analytically, and who are transformative practitioners and learner advocates for children functioning in global environments.
The CoE&HD emphasizes efficient and successful teaching practices, policies, and procedures to enhance and support the academic achievement and social development of all Pre-K-5 students. The commitment and responsibility of the College of Education & Human Development are based upon a conceptual framework (Reflective Practitioners for Global Environments) that manifests a performance-based paradigm to ensure the teaching practices of professional practitioners who are instructional leaders, continuous assessors, technologically astute practitioners, reflective professionals, and advocates for diversity and collaboration.
