Dear Southern University at New Orleans Community,

We hope this message finds you well. Please note the following important updates regarding our operations: 

Park Campus Updates

(Library, Natural Sciences Bldg., Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Bldg., Administration Bldg., Cafeteria,

University Center, and the Castle)

Due to air conditioning repairs needed on the Park Campus, all classes that are usually held on the Park Campus, including those in the Library, Natural Sciences Building, and Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Building, will be held virtually until further notice. 

 

Students, your professors, and instructors will be reaching out to you directly to provide further instructions and support regarding the transition to virtual learning.

Lake Campus Updates

(College of Education and Human Development, the College of Business and Public Administration, Millie M. Charles School of Social Work, and the Residential Housing Complex)

The Lake Campus, including the Residential Housing Complex, the College of Education and Human Development, the College of Business and Public Administration, and the Millie M. Charles School of Social Work, will continue business as usual.

Please note that the University shuttle services will be open from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Faculty and Staff

The Office of the Chancellor and Human Resources will be open in the Emmett Bashful Administration Building, room 300.

 

All other employees assigned to the Park Campus, except those working in the One-Stop Shop and the Office of the Chancellor and Human Resources, are to work virtually. This includes faculty, Institutional Research, Institutional Advancement, Comptroller’s Office, Title III Project Administration, and Purchasing.

 

Lake Campus employees will continue to work as usual.

Campus Safety and Updates

Please note that in case of an emergency, the Southern University at New Orleans Police Department (SUNOPD) will be located in the Millie M. Charles School of Social Work, room 242.
