Small Business Incubator Opportunities

Center of Excellence Effect - Students and their parents are attracted to a university with a distinctive center of excellence where they could see a clear path between education and rewarding careers. The Incubator presents the CBA and SUNO recruiters with a unique and compelling story as well as a solid value proposition for recruitment, retention, and placement, the same way that pharmacy, hotel-restaurant management, healthcare and financial management have been the recruitment hook for competing universities in our local market.


Internship Opportunities – The Incubator provides a unique opportunity for a rich on-campus immersion in a thriving local industry. Incubator tenants are encouraged to employ qualified SUNO students' priority for internships.

  • Business Administration majors with a concentration in Entrepreneurship are encouraged to base their ENTR 470-Entrepreneurial Project on topics related to incubator tenant needs.

  • Computer Information Systems majors are allowed to hone their IT
    skills by assisting incubator tenants with technology-related needs.

  • Public Administration majors will have a role in assisting tenants
    in navigating the bureaucratic paperwork processes needed to
    start or stay in business.

Other Business Administration majors have an opportunity to support
the Incubator tenants with marketing, finance, accounting, and
human resource needs. The training received from working with the
Incubator tenants will help the student to recognize their individual
worth and possibly put them on course to become job creators and
wealthy alums.
