Annual Reporting Measures

Southern University at New Orleans Teacher Education Program is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation



In 2016, the College of Education & Human Development at Southern University at New Orleans is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), www.ncate.org. This accreditation covers initial teacher preparation programs. The following initial teacher preparation programs were granted accreditation status by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE):

  • Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education (Terminated in 2018)

  • Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education (Terminated in 2017)

  • Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Elementary Education (1-5)

  • Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Early Childhood Education (1-5)

  • Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Art (All Levels, K-12)

  • Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Health and Physical Education (All-Levels, K-12)

  • Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Biology (6-12)

  • Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Math (6-12)

  • Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in English (6-12)

  • Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Social Studies (6-12)

CAEP Annual Reporting Measures: Information and Supporting Evidence

The tables appearing on this page include data for all eight CAEP annual reporting measures. These measures support all parts SUNO’s accreditation process for educator preparation programs, but in particular standard component 5.4 for initial and standard components 4.1-4.4 for initial programs.
