Individual Therapy/Counseling: The CAPS center offers individual therapy for any student who wants to explore aspects of his/her personal concerns one-to-one with a therapist.
Group Learning Sessions: Group learning sessions offer the opportunity of joining small groups of students who share common concerns, explore personal issues, and learn new skills to facilitate change. We offer general group learning session, groups focusing on specific populations, and groups focusing on specific issues. Group Learning Sessions are formed at the beginning of the semester and typically meet once a week.
Walk-ins/Counselor on Duty: The CAPS center offers walk-in sessions for the community who would like to speak with a therapist about personal concerns without needing a scheduled appointment.
Community Outreach: In addition to working with students individually, the CAPS center offers psych-educational group learning sessions to the larger University community (i.e., residential life, academic departments, athletics, student organizations, faculty and staff members).
