Dual Enrollment | Polices and Procedures
Important Policies and Procedures
- Application Deadlines for upcoming terms:
- Fall Term: August 1
- Spring Term: January 1
- All SUNO Dual Enrollment participants must complete an application if they are new to the program.
- Continuing students must submit a request to continue with the counselor at their school.
- High School Transcripts, test scores (if available), and/or counselor recommendations must be submitted before the student is admitted.
- Admitted students will receive a letter of acceptance, along with the next steps and important need-to-know information.
- Dual Enrollment course grades are posted to the student’s permanent SUNO transcript. Dual Enrollment students can not audit a course.
- The student is responsible for officially withdrawing before the posted deadline from any course he/she can not complete. A course dropped throughout the first 13th days of class is not entered on the student’s record.
- A grade of W(withdrawn) is entered for each course dropped after the 14th day of class. After the 53rd day of class, courses may not be dropped. See the current Academic Calendar for exact dates for each semester and click here for the withdrawal form.
- Dropping all classes for a semester is considered a resignation. Students are responsible for initiating action to resign from the University (withdraw from all SUNO classes) on or before the last day to withdraw. Students will need to contact their counselor for permission.
