SUNO's Harris Tabbed Preseason All-HBCUAC First Team

SUNO’s Harris Named Preseason All-HBCUAC First Team

New Orleans, LA [October 10, 2024] — Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO) Women's Basketball standout Jordan Harris has been named to the Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletic Conference (HBCUAC) Preseason All-HBCUAC First Team. Harris made waves on the court during an impressive 2023-2024 season in which she averaged 17.2 points per game, the second-highest in the conference. Her exceptional performance also earned her a spot on the Second Team All-Conference last season.

SUNO Head Coach Destinie Smith said about Harris, "Jordan is an extraordinary player who consistently pushes herself and her teammates to excel," Smith said. "She has a natural ability to lead, and her commitment to improvement has been evident throughout her career. This preseason recognition is a testament to the hard work she's put in, and I’m excited to see what she will accomplish this season."

The conference also released its 2024 Preseason Poll, in which the Knights were picked to finish No. 11.

Fans can catch the Knights in action as they kick off the 2024-25 season Homecoming Weekend on Saturday, October 26 at 1 p.m. against Life University.
