KNIGHTS WIN!!

Knights Baseball returned home Tuesday afternoon for a matchup against LSU Alexandria and walked off the field with a 6-4 victory over the Generals. The Knights got on the board early on RBIs by Eric Cador and D'Eric Shenault. They added one run in the second inning on a sacrifice fly by Brandon Watson to make the score 3-0. Kyler Sheppard, the Knights' leadoff hitter, led SUNO with three hits in four at bats, while Damian Lantigua snagged two hits in four at bats for the Knights. SUNO scored two runs in the sixth and added one more in the eighth inning to seal the win.

 

 

Noah Ramirez started on the mound for the Knights, giving up just one hit and no runs in just over three innings pitched. He also struck out five batters. Marcus Jackson came in relief giving out one hit and no runs. LSU's runs came in pairs in the sixth and seventh inning, but the Knights held strong, shutting them out in the last to innings for the victory.
