July 2023 Important Payroll Dates
To assist with improving operational efficiencies and improving the payroll function, please use the below calendar to help you better plan for important tasks related to Payroll.
Please remember that ALL new hires must report to the Office of Human Resources on their first day of employment. Federal law regulates this requirement and all new employees are required to demonstrate that they are legally authorized to be employed in the United States on Day 1 of employment. In addition to I-9 requirements, Human Resources will communicate with the receiving department to initiate an Electronic Personnel Action Form (EPAF), which will, in turn, generate a timesheet for the new employee. *Please note: the Office of Human Resources does not initiate EPAFs for new or current employees. If you do not have a timesheet available to you, please check with your supervisor first.
Also, if an employee is approved for an additional assignment, an EPAF must be generated if the employee is to be paid for the assignment.
Lastly, please initiate any EPAFs as soon as possible to allow for time to make any necessary corrections prior to payroll close.
