The Information Technology Center has implemented additional resources to support the recently implemented Telecommuting and Online Teaching initiatives. These resources when appropriately utilized can help you to support the University’s Mission while providing a platform for collaboration and social networking.

  1. Cisco Conference Now Feature.
    Conference Now is a feature of your University issued desktop telephone. This feature will allow you to have a telephone conference call using your desktop telephone with up to 40 attendees.   2. Cisco WebEx Events.
    Cisco Webex Events is a collaboration solution that allows you to expand large-scale meetings and University Events to reach more attendees. This solution is available by request only. To request access to Cisco Webex Events, send an email to service@suno.edu or call 504-286-5237.
  3. Cisco Jabber.
    Cisco Jabber is an application that is attached to your University issued desktop telephone. Cisco Jabber allows you to make and receive telephone calls from your desk phone on your mobile device. Further information on Cisco Jabber can be found here Instructions on how to set up and use Jabber on your mobile device can be found here.   4. Cisco Supported Voicemail.

    The University issued voicemail is a Cisco supported product. Your University issued voicemail can be accessed via your University issued email account. This is done automatically for you. Your University issued voicemail is also accessible via Cisco Jabber (in progress feature). Lastly, your University issued voicemail can be accessed via telephone. Instructions can be found here.   5. Cisco Webex Meetings.

    Cisco Webex Meeting is web meeting solution that allows you to conduct meetings of all sizes. Further information on Cisco Webex Meetings can be found here. This full solution is available free to every faculty, staff and student of the University. It has been integrated with your University issued email account, Microsoft Teams, Consolidated Moodle (coming soon) and Cisco Jabber (coming soon). This allows for the creation of Webex meetings directly from each of these applications. Instructions on how to use webex from within your email can be found here.   6. Cisco Webex Teams.
    Cisco Webex Teams is an easy to use collaboration solution that keeps people and teamwork connected anytime, anywhere. Further information on Cisco Webex Teams can be found here. This solution is free for every faculty, staff and student of the University and it is connected to your SUNO email. The login for Cisco Webex Teams can be found here.   7. Cisco Webex Training Center.
    Cisco Webex Training Center offers an exceptionally rich and interactive classroom experience. It’s easy to use and includes unlimited online sessions, integrated audio, content sharing, and the ability to record classes. Further information on Cisco Webex Training Center can be found here. This solution is free for every faculty, staff and student of the University and it is connected to your SUNO email. The login for Cisco Webex Training Center can be found by accessing your Cisco Webex Account and selecting Webex Training from the menu on the lower left of the screen.   8. Microsoft Classroom Notebook/OneNote.
    Microsoft Class Notebook is an App that helps you set up OneNote for use in your classroom as a fully functional digital notebook. It can be integrated with Microsoft Teams to allow you to publish and grade assignments. Further information on Microsoft Class Notebook can be found here. This solution is free for employees of the University and it can be found under Apps in your Office365 account.   9. Microsoft Delve.
    Microsoft Delve is also a collaboration solution that allows users to display and share personal content.  Further information on Microsoft Delve can be found here This solution is free for every faculty, staff and student of the University. Microsoft Delve can be accessed via your University issued email account under Office 365 Apps.   10. Microsoft Mult-Factor Authentication.
    Multi-Factor Authentication is a solution designed to provide additional security for your University issued email. This solution is free for every faculty, staff and student of the University by request. Send an email to service@suno.edu or call 504-286-5237 to request this service. 
  11. Microsoft Office.
    Five (5) authentic full-versioned copies of Microsoft Office is available for download to every faculty, staff and student of the University. These copies of Microsoft Office are available for all devices (ie Mobile, Laptops, Tablets, PC, Windows, MAC, Android and IOS).   12. Microsoft OneDrive.
    Microsoft OneDrive is a cloud storage service from Microsoft that allows you to store all your important files securely in one place and then access them virtually anywhere.   13. Microsoft Teams.
    Microsoft Teams is the collaboration hub for Microsoft 365 that helps your department/class/committee/group stay organized and have conversations—all in one place. Further information on Microsoft Teams can be found here. This solution is free for every faculty, staff and student of the University. Microsoft Teams can be accessed via your University issued email account under Office 365 Apps.   14. Microsoft SharePoint (SUNO Intranet).
    Microsoft Sharepoint is a document management and collaboration tool. Simply, it is an intranet and content management system that is used for internal purposes. For example, Microsoft Office training and internal forms (coming soon) is available via the Microsoft SharePoint (SUNO Intranet). This Microsoft SharePoint (SUNO Intranet) can be integrated with Microsoft Teams to allow for additional collaboration. Further information on Microsoft SharePoint (SUNO Intranet) can be found here. This solution is free for faculty, staff and students of the University and it can be found under Apps in your Office365 account.   15. Microsoft Yammer.
    Microsoft Yammer is your social layer across Office365. It is fully integrated with all the apps and services you already use to stay productive. Microsoft Yammer can be accessed via your University issued email account under Office 365 Apps. Microsoft Yammer also has a very robust mobile app available for download.
