Coordinator of Adaptive Technology and Accommodative Testing
The Coordinator of Adaptive Technology and Accommodative Testing will report directly to the Director of ADA.
Responsibilities
•Identifying and coordinating adaptive technology needs to meet disability students requirements
• Provide various accommodative services, such as notetaking, scribing or reading services when applicable.
• Provide accommodation forms to be signed by their Professors to coordinate the disability student’s accommodations
• Present information to prospective and current students about disability services and programs available at Southern University at New Orleans.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director.
Qualifications
• Personal attributes appropriate to a managerial position, including excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational, leadership and presentation skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a well-organized and focused manner, as well as the ability to promote a team spirit within the financial aid department.
• Must have the ability to sensitively counsel students and parents.
• Communicate effectively and diplomatically with all constituencies, to forge internal and external partnerships and exercise discretion, independent judgment and reason logically in executing responsibilities.
• Must have a Bachelors Degree. Masters Degree preferred
