Technology Wireless Network
Southern University at New Orleans maintains three (3) Wireless Networks.  These are SUNO University, SUNO Equipment and SUNO Guest University Wireless.

SUNO University

The SUNO-University Wireless Network is for Faculty, Staff and Students of the University. 

How to get online

To access university wireless service:

  1. Select the network named "SUNO-University" from your list of available networks.
  2. Once connected a SUNO Web Login page will display. In the event, the SUNO Web Login page does not display please follow the instructions to add a network based on your device's manufacturer. If the SUNO Web Login page still does not appear, navigate to www.suno.edu on the device's browser and the Login page should appear. 
  3. Log in with your SUNO user name and password. After you log in, you can use Internet services and web browsing as you would using a wired connection.

SUNO Guest

The SUNO-Guest Wireless Network is for Hosted Guest of the University.

How to get online

To access guest wireless service:

  1. Select the network named "SUNO-Guest" from your list of available networks.
  2. Once connected a SUNO Web Login page will display. In the event, the SUNO Web Login page does not display please follow the instructions to add a network based on your device's manufacturer. If the SUNO Web Login page still does not appear, navigate to www.suno.edu on the device's browser and the login page should appear.
  3. Once the login page appears, read the information and click ok.

SUNO Equipment

The SUNO-Equipment Wireless Network is for University owned devices ONLY. 

How to get online

To access equipment wireless service:

  1. Contact the Technology Department at 504-286-5258 or email service@suno.edu (if available) for assistance.  Please be prepared to provide your device MAC address and the University State Property Tag Number.

SUNO Small Business Incubator

The SUNO-SBDMI Wireless Network is for clients of the incubator ONLY. 

How to get online

To access SBDMI wireless service:

  1. Contact the Technology Department at 504-286-5258 or email service@suno.edu (if available) for assistance.  Please be prepared to provide your device MAC address.

SUNO Housing

The SHNOLA Wireless Network is broadcast in housing only.

Anyone with issues accessing the wireless must contact the housing office at 504-286-5395
