Public Relations

The Southern University at New Orleans Office of Public Relations handles a wide range of internal and external communications and marketing responsibilities.  

Our primary job is to make sure that the SUNO story is being told through the use of strategies that support the University’s overall Strategic Plan as well as the goals of our chancellor. We also work with the various campus interests, including student organizations, to enhance the level of interaction between the University and those it serves. SUNO is on the move and its faculty, staff and students will be the leaders here in the New Orleans area and throughout the world.

It is estimated that SUNO has the largest, most significant authenticated African and African-American art collection in the entire Southern region. Artifacts from this collection have been borrowed for study and display by major museums in Louisiana and other states.
