Athletics | Internship Program
Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO) is excited to offer students the opportunity to gain experience working in athletics through our comprehensive internship program. The program, which runs in three semesters (fall, spring, summer), includes offerings in communications, marketing, equipment management, and game day management, to name a few.
Applicants understand that it is a volunteer student internship. If your institution approves, this internship may be applied to volunteer/community service hours or course credit. Working with SUNO Knights Athletics provides a unique, comprehensive opportunity to learn about and participate in various aspects of athletics, from social media to facilities management. If you are looking for a hands-on experience that allows you to immerse yourself in athletic programs, this internship is for you!
SUNO Athletics considers high school, college undergraduate, and college graduate students for a number of our internship opportunities. High school students must have consent from their parent(s) or legal guardian to be an intern. This is a unique opportunity for high school students especially to gain experience being in a collegiate environment.
Our internship program is not only in-depth and hands-on, but it also provides students with fresh perspectives and experiential learning. Interns receive practical knowledge as they interact with leadership in athletics and academia.
