Lady Knights Win National Track Championship

The  SUNO Lady Knights won the 2018 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Outdoor Track & Field Championship May 24-26 in Gulf Shores, AL. 

The team of eight Lady Knights (Shadae Hylton, Kerry Ann Scott, Oshin Brooks-Gillings, Chantal Pennie, Argyana Bolton, Xuxa Peart, Kimona Smikle, Shantae Green) won the National Championship with 64 points including first place in the 4x400m relay, 200m, 400m hurdles, 400m and second place in the 100m and 4x100m relay. This is SUNO's first national track championship since 1997 under Coach Artis  Davenport.

In addition, Track Coach Younne Reid received National Coach of the Year honors.
