Chancellor's Office

The only thing that is constant in today’s world is change, and Southern University at New Orleans is once again growing.

Still, the faculty, administration, and staff of this great University all strive to give the student a caring place to succeed.

Our graduate and undergraduate students are succeeding every day where they are building new businesses and serving communities not only in New Orleans but around the nation. The students are assuming roles of leadership domestically and internationally.

Our campus is expanding with three new buildings under construction, and a fourth expected to break ground in a few months. In fact, the new School of Social Work Building is expected to have it grand opening later this year.  We invite you to explore our various colleges, learn more about the University, and enjoy the exciting developments on both the Park and Lake Campuses.

Lisa Mims-Devezin, Ph.D.
