Internet Search

Southern University at New Orleans established the Virtual Library to provide online search capabilities, reference materials, databases, journals, and other research services to its students and faculty.

There are two ways to search the Internet, with Search Engines or through Subject Directories. Search Engines are lists of sites found and organized by a computer. Subject Directories are lists of websites chosen and arranged by people. A Search Engine will have more websites, but a Subject Directory will have higher quality websites. Search Engines are lists of sites found and organized by a computer.
