Mrs. Beaulieu has extensive experience in successfully managing non-profit organizations, and has served in management positions with several Fortune 500 companies.  She has conducted many professional business workshops and seminars, one on-one counseling for small business owners and is certified to teach NxLevel Entrepreneurial Training classes and is also certified as the State Administrator/Instructor for the State of Louisiana for the NxLevel Educational Foundation (a national entrepreneurial training program).

 

She has also served as Business Advisor with the Small Business Development Center for many years. In addition she possesses a wealth of business knowledge and experience and has worked with small business in this community for the past 15 years.  She is the host and producer of a cable access television show that highlights the accomplishment of women business owners in the community.

KATHERINE TOUSANT

An experienced and trained professional with the knowledge and skills in owning and operating a small business for over 20 years, Ms. Tousant has worked as a business advisor, training coordinator and administrative assistant in the College of Business and Public Administration for 18 years.  She also has experience in working for public, private and non-profit organizations.  For more than 15 years she worked as an Economic Program Assistant for the Federal Interstate Commerce Commission in Washington, DC.

ARKEBIA MATTHEWS

Ms. Matthews brings a wealth of operational and management experience to the SBDMI. She has held several management positions in Sales and Marketing for top fortune 500 companies.  As an entrepreneur she quickly built her own marketing and event planning business where she successfully assisted nonprofit and small business owners with a plan for a sleeker, smoother, strategically focused organization.

 

Arkebia serves her community as a volunteer and Board member with Home Mission’s homeless feeding program. She is a long time member of the National Coalition of Black Meeting Planners (NCBMP)
