Elston King has been coaching at SUNO since 1982. His career at SUNO began as an assistant women's coach under Morris Bates and he later served as an assistant men's coach under Earl Hill. During his tenure with the Knights, however, Coach King took the reins as the head coach of the Lady Knights.
He began as the women's head coach in 1998. Ever since then Coach King has built a 196-140 record, a GCAC co-conference championship and a trip to the NAIA Tournament in 2000.
Coach King is a native of New Orleans where he graduated from Joseph S. Clark High School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Southern University at New Orleans in 1981. |
