NEW APPLICATION FEES
Southern University at New Orleans has new application fees. Effective immediately the application fee for undergraduate admission is $20. For international students the fee is $30. For more information call SUNO Admissions at (504) 286-5314 or toll free at (866) 641-0295.
The application for graduate admission remains at $25 and $35 for international students.

H1N1 RESOURCE GUIDE
UNIVERSITY GUIDELINES IN CASE A STUDENT OR EMPLOYEE IS INFECTED
- The student/employee should stay home or in his/her on-campus residential unit at least 24 hours after his/her fever subsides.
- If possible, an ailing student should return home to recuperate and minimize the risk of infecting others if he/she lives nearby. The student can do so without using public transportation.
- The university will provide meals and supportive care for student(s) in isolation.
- Facilities administrators should ensure that residential halls, classrooms, elevators, dining halls and other high-contact areas are cleaned frequently.
- The university will make accomodations to implement online instruction if necessary.
- SUNO will utilize broad range communications (i.e. the Emergency Alert Texting System, Twitter, Facebook, local print and broadcast media) to reach students and employees.
- Any university closure will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Students, high-risk employees and those under 25 years of age will be slated to receive the H1N1 flu vaccine when it becomes available in conjuction with the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals.
